Mauritian government receives medical supplies from China

Mauritius has received several tonnes of medical supplies from the Chinese government – that will enable it to combat the spread of the coronavirus. They include face masks, Personal Protective Equipment, testing kits, and thermometers.

Chinese cities of Wenzhou, Changzhou, Foshan, Meizhou, and Wenzhou have also sent messages of support to Mauritians. The latest support will bolster the country’s capacity – after the arrival of Jack Ma’s second batch of donations – on Wednesday.

Chinese telecommunications giant – Huawei – has also partnered with local hospitals in providing communication equipment. The video conferencing technology is easing communication between local doctors and Chinese experts.
