Cote d’Ivoire’s Covid-19 cases rise to 190

The Cote D’Ivoire government on Wednesday evening confirmed 11 new coronavirus cases, raising the total confirmed cases to 190.

After the confirmation of the first COVID-19 case in Cote d’Ivoire on March 11, the government asked the populations to adopt measures of social separation before closing schools, places of entertainment, restaurants, night clubs and banning gatherings of more than 50 people.

Other more drastic actions have been taken, including the establishment of a curfew, progressive containment with the prohibition of unauthorized movement between Abidjan and other parts of the country, as well as the closure of all maritime, land and air borders.
