Nigeria’s Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire on Monday announced a second confirmed case of COVID-19 in the West African nation.

The victim had contacted an Italian national who brought coronavirus to Nigeria. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control also confirmed this in a tweet on Monday.

The country is also dealing with one of the largest epidemics of Lassa fever, a deadly disease that has caused over a hundred deaths since the beginning of the year.
