U.S. President Donald Trump has rebuked teenage environmental activist Greta Thunberg after she was named the 2019 Time magazine’s Person of the Year.

The 16-year-old was announced wined of the award on Wednesday, December 11, beating President Trump and U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” President Trump wrote on twitter.

Thunberg is the youngest person to be chosen by Time magazine in a tradition that started in 1927.

The Swede began her activism last year by missing lessons on Fridays to protest outside her country’s parliament building. This sparked a worldwide movement that became popular across the world.

Since then, she has risen to become the face of environmental conservation activism, urging governments to do more to protect the world for future generations.

Thunberg’s rise to fame has however not gone down well with some leaders.

Other than President Trump, Thunberg also got some lashing from Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro who labeled her a “brat.”

The Swedish teenager is expected in the Italian city of Torino for a climate strike scheduled for Friday.
