SADC says Namibia ready for elections

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) on Monday gave Namibia’s preparedness to host election on November 27 a seal of approval.

The Southern African Election Observer Mission (SEOM) headed by Zimbabwean Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri on Monday while launching their mission said Namibia political, and security situation is conducive for the election.

“The SADC mission has confirmed Namibia’s state of preparedness for elections and the observation continues,” Muchinguri-Kashiri said.

SADC is expected to observe and monitor both Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Namibia.
