South African winger Cheslin Kolbe is in contention to face England in the final of the Rugby World Cup scheduled to take place in Yokohama on Saturday.
Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus confirmed on Tuesday that the Springboks will have a fully fit squad of 31 players available and ready to train.
“It will probably be exactly the same 23 with Cheslin Kolbe coming back into that 23. We believe that is the best way we can get the best out of our team,” Erasmus said at a press conference.
Kolbe has been a doubt for the game having missed the 19-16 win over Wales in the semi-final on Sunday with an ankle injury.
Sharks winger S’busiso Nkosi took Kolbe’s place on the right wing in the game.
Erasmus said one of the reasons he did not select Kolbe was that he hoped he will be available for the Rugby World Cup final if South Africa beat the Six Nations champions.
Kolbe had been struggling with the injury following South Africa’s 49-3 win against Italy in their third pool game. He also missed the Pool B game against Canada.
He, however, played in the 26-3 win against Japan in the quarterfinal but went off late in the game and sat out training in the week leading to the semi-final.
The final is a repeat of the 2007 finale when South Africa overcame 2003 champions England 15-6 to win the Webb Ellis Cup for a second time.
