Biden meets Kenya’s Ruto in Washington
U.S. President Joe Biden and Kenyan President William Ruto made key announcements on Thursday during Ruto’s three-day state visit.
Biden confirmed in a joint briefing at the White House that he is working with Congress to designate Kenya as the first major non-NATO ally in sub-Saharan Africa.
Additionally, Ruto highlighted an upcoming technology agreement between Microsoft and a Kenyan company, emphasizing advancements in areas like artificial intelligence.
Ruto’s state visit is the first by an African president since 2008.
