Ambassador Lin used the opportunity to reiterate his country’s commitment to partnering with Africa in its development agenda.

“China as strategic partner in this country, in this continent, we don’t come here to play, we come here to work together to see where’s the problem and where can we find the solution, to work together to solve that problem,” he said.

On his part, Dr. Nzimande thanked China for being a reliable partner in Africa’s quest for progression.

“South Africa once again, expresses its gratitude to China for supporting the African Unions agenda 2063, a strategic framework for the socio economic transformation of our continent over the next fifty years,” he said.

This year marks the 21st anniversary of China-South Africa diplomatic relations.
