Austrian movie wins Grand Prize in Morocco Women’s Film Festival

Austrian movie “The Ground Beneath my Feet” won the Grand Prize at the closing ceremony of Morocco International Women’s Film Festival on Saturday.

The film directed by Marie Kreutzer also won the best screenplay award of the 13th edition of this event which took place in the city of Sale.

Actors Isa Yasan, Kalbinur Rahmati, Alinaz Rahmati and Moosa Yasan received the best actor award for their performance in the Chinese film “A First Farewell” by Wang Lina.

Actress Zorica Nusheva won the best actress award in the North Macedonian film “God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya” which also received the Jury Prize.

The festival is aimed to encourage women in the film industry.
