China has offered a high share of scholarships to Ethiopian students for this academic year. The students will be able to continue with their masters and doctoral studies in Chinese universities.
It has offered a share of 40.74% of 162 global quotas scholarships to Ethiopian students.
Ethiopia is the only country awarded with more than 100 scholarships opportunities, among all the recipient countries.
China supplies 1380 MOFCOM scholarship to worldwide developing countries.
The Chinese also offer various training programs, carried by its respective ministries. For this year 2019 the government has invited over 800 Ethiopians to participate in short and long training courses.
China has recently become the most popular destination for Ethiopian students studying abroad. Figures from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce indicate that in 2018 more 7,697 Ethiopians received training in China.
