Mwanahalima Adam inspires Harambee starlets friendly win against Ethiopia

Kenya’s Harambee starlets beat neighbors Ethiopia 3-2 in a Women International Friendly match that was played at Kenyatta Stadium Machakos. Coach David Ouma’s charges got the lead in the 7th minute through Mwanahalima Adam.
Ware Birtukan worked extra hard to restore parity for the Ethiopians before Mwanahalima hammered home the second for the hosts. It lasted for a short while as Serkadis Kidane netted an equalizer for the guests.
However during the dying minutes of the match, Mwanahalima Adam was brought down inside the box and the referee pointed at the spot.
Gentrix Shikangwa then stepped forward netting the resultant spot-kick to give the Harambee Starlets a stoppage-time winner.
Focus now shifts to the Olympics Qualifier against Malawi whose first leg will be hosted in August 28, 2019, in Blantyre. The second leg is scheduled for September 4, 2019, in Nairobi.
