Zambia’s annual rate of inflation for the month of July increased to 8.8 percent from 8.6 percent the previous month, its statistics agency said on Thursday.

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) attributed the increase to upward price movements of both food and non-food items.

However, the month-on-month inflation reduced to 0.5 percent from 0.7 percent the previous month.
