Wildebeest migration is part of the cycle of life and death in Maasai Mara
Billed as one of the modern-day 8 wonders of the world, the Maasai Mara is home to one of the greatest natural spectacles on earth. The wildebeest migration is entering its peak with just about two million animals, including wildebeest, gazelles, antelopes and zebras all making the great trek.
The animals will travel over 2900 kilometers across the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and into the Maasai Mara game reserve. It is a journey filled with danger as several predators, namely lions, hyenas and crocodiles aim to feast on the migrating herds.
