Double Olympic champion Caster Semenya will race in the 800m at the Stanford Diamond League in California set to be held on June 30.
A statement from the meeting’s director Tom Jordan said that the officials had complied with a request from Semenya’s representatives to change her entry from the initial 3,000m to the 800m event.

The race is set to be the first at the distance since the Supreme Court in Switzerland ruled that she race without medication to limit her testosterone levels.
However, the distance is one in which Semenya would have been able to race without reducing her testosterone levels.
An order was issued on May 31 requiring the International Association of Athletics Federations to suspend eligibility rules against Semenya, stressing that the IAAF had not brought forward any new arguments to justify a reconsideration of the prior order.
Under the IAAF regulations, female athletes with high natural levels of testosterone wishing to compete in events from 400m to a mile were required to medically limit that level to under 5 nmol/L, double the normal female range of below 2 nmol/L.
Semenya maintains that she will not take any medication to lower her testosterone levels to comply with the guidelines.
The Prefontaine Classic meeting will be hosted in Stanford, California, away from its regular venue in Eugene, Oregon, as the stadium is being renovated in preparation for the 2021 World Championships.
