Senegal football team’s coach Aliou Cissé has named his squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to begin later this month in Egypt.

While the squad boasts of some big-name players who are contracted to teams in top European leagues, other stars have been left out of the squad.

Among the players that have been left out of Cissé’s squad include Diafra Sakho, Mame Biram Diouf, Cheikh Ndoye and Adama Mbegue.

Even so however, the Lions of Teranga will have stars such as Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, Crystal Palace midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye among others.

Coach Cissé will be guiding Senegal in AFCON for his second time, and this time he will be hoping to make it to the final.

The 43-year-old was in charge of Senegal in the 2018 World Cup, where they were adjudged to have had a good outing even though they did not make it past the group stage.
