Tanzania passed on the mantle of hosting the next Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations to Morocco.

The symbolic handing over ceremony took place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, after Cameroon beat Guinea on penalties in the final to win their second title.

The ceremony was led by Confederation of African Football president Ahmad Ahmad, the president of the Tanzania Football Federation, Wallace Karia, and Morocco’s ambassador to Tanzania, Abdelilah Benryane.

Ahmad received the flag from Karia then handed it over to Benryane to officially launch the journey to the next tournament.

The 14th edition of the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco in 2021.

This will be the second time Morocco will host the event after the edition in 2013.
