China’s top political advisor Wang Yang on Saturday met with Guinean President Alpha Conde ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Wang, chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, said Saturday’s signing of cooperative agreements on the Belt and Road construction will offer new opportunities for the two countries to enhance cooperation in various areas.

Conde said Guinea highly anticipated the upcoming Beijing summit of FOCAC and believed the meeting will demonstrate to the world the solidarity and friendship between China and Africa.
