13 hurt as car explodes in Cairo

13 people have been injured after a car exploded in central Cairo, causing a traffic accident and damaging a nearby building.
The Egyptian Health Ministry said those injured were taken from the scene in Dokki District to three different hospitals, where they were being treated for wounds and burns.
Reporters from the Reuters News Agency said they heard a loud blast in the area and saw a car on the side of the road, completely destroyed.
According to state-run media in Cairo, explosive experts pegged the cause of the blast on an electrical fault that spread a fire to the car’s fuel tank.
Another security source issued a statement saying the car’s electrics short-circuited, causing a fire and then an explosion before the vehicle collided with a minibus.
