The BRICS Seminar on Governance is being held in Johannesburg, South Africa, aimed at promoting the institutionalization of BRICS experiences in governance, and expand exchange and cooperation. It’s part of the second Golden Decade of BRICS cooperation.

Delegates attending the meeting hope to share experiences on how to build effective global governance.

The first BRICS Seminar on Governance was held in China in 2017, during which member states decided that the seminar would be held each year by a host school of government of each BRICS country where the summit is held.

The theme of the conference this year is “Contributing BRICS Wisdom to Global Governance in the interests of the people”.

From Wednesday’s session, the BRICS members emphasized that the exchanges and discussions of governance and mutual learning were of great significance for member countries to achieve greater development in the future.
