Every four years the world gets gripped by World Cup fever. For a month the world cup brings our lives to a halt as fans and nations root for their favourite teams.
Africa is no exception, and millions across the continent follow the action in eager anticipation.
This week on Talk Africa we look back at some memorable moments for Africa in the World Cup and also speak to experts from across the continent.
This week guests are :
Ken Ochonogor in Lagos, sports analyst and the owner of Sportsgate Limited Nigeria, Marwan Saeed from Cairo, journalist and general manager of Kingtut.com, Egypt’s premier football website and Arnold Kanyangonda, sports consultant and journalist
We get their thoughts on Africa’s challenges both on and off the pitch, why Africa has never passed the quarter final stage and what we can do as a continent to change this.
