Salah gets yet another award; UCL Player of the week

Liverpool’s Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has been named the UEFA Champions League player of the week to add to his impressive tally of award in the 2017/18 season.
The 25-year old was shortlisted alongside Real Madrid’s star Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona’s Gerard Pique, and Bayern Munich’s James Rodriguez.
UEFA on Friday announced Salah to have pipped the other to the award after garnering 57 per cent of the votes.
Salah gave another eye-catching performance in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarter finals.
He scored Liverpool’s opening goal in the 12th minute, before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sadio Mane added to the tally.
The Egyptian was however forced off early in the second half due to a nudge in his thigh area, but is expected to be fit for the second leg next week.
Salah has 38 goals in all competitions this season, including 29 in the Premier League where he is the top scorer.
He is only a goal away from setting a new record in the Premier League, the most goals scored by an African in a season.
Liverpool face Everton on Saturday as they look to continue piling the pressure on Manchester United in the quest for second place.
