
Kenya high court suspends government shutdown of three TV channels

A Kenyan high court has suspended a government shutdown of three private TV channels.
The three broadcasters were taken off-air on Tuesday morning ahead of the swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the people’s president.
NTV Kenya, which is among the channels wrote on its Twitter handle that the channels are to be restored.
“Government expected to restore NTV, Citizen TV & KTN News signals after High Court suspends switch off for 14 days pending case being heard,” NTV Kenya wrote on its official Twitter feed.
