Sudan on Saturday booked its spot at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with a win against Zambia.
Saifeldin Bakhit scored the game’s only goal in the 32nd minute, earning his side progression in the continental competition being staged in Morocco.
Sudan will now face the winner from Nigeria vs Angola, which will be played later today.
Earlier, host Morocco reached the semi-final stage after seeing off Namibia in the first quarter final game played in Casablanca.
The Lions of the Atlas beat the southern African side by 2-0, thanks to goals from Ayoub Kaabi and Salaheddine Saidi in either half.
Morocco will now face the winner from the Congo vs Libya game, also set to be played later today.
The semi-final games will be played on 31 January, one in Casablanca while the other is played in Marrakech.
The winners will proceed to clash in the final game scheduled for 4 February in Casablanca.
