South West State of Somalia has given out details of 3 top al-Shabaab officials who surrendered themselves to the local authority.
The spokesman of the region’s administration Mr Nuradin Yussuf while talking to Radio Dalsan on phone said the al-Shabaab officials who surrendered themselves included the head of training in Afjirow area and over 20 militiamen.
He said other officials are also expected to surrender themselves in the coming days.
The spokesman said they will first be investigated and they will help the regional state and central governments to get more information about the group’s activities in the area.
