This week marks ten years since the murder of legendary South African reggae music icon, Lucky Dube.
Dube was shot by gunmen in an apparent carjacking attempt in Johannesburg, as he dropped off one of his children at his brother’s house on the 18 October 2007.
And to mark a decade since his death, his former recording company, Gallo Records, has released a double disc album of Lucky Dube’s biggest hits titled The Times We’ve Shared.

The limited commemorative album includes well known hits such as I Want to Know What Love Is, Prisoner and Remember Me. The album also includes three previously unreleased songs for fans to enjoy, Channel 24 reports.
Lucky Dube, one of South Africa’s most toured and beloved artists ever had music that touched millions around the world, primarily through his 22 recorded albums – in Zulu, English and even Afrikaans – many of which have been record breakers with phenomenal sales from around the globe.
