Chinese naval fleet in Dar es Salaam for four-day visit

A Chinese naval fleet as arrived in the port city of Dar es Salaam for a four day visit.

The three ships from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy Task Group 150 came from a similar visit to Saudi Arabia.

The fleet comprises of a guided missile destroyer, a guided missile frigate, and a supply ship.

Tanzanian authorities have held a welcoming ceremony for the three vessels, with China’s Ambassador to Tanzania in attendance, as well as China’s Chief Military Expert in Tanzania.

The visit is meant to enhance mutual trust, and strengthen cooperation between the navies of both countries
