IAAF World Championships: David Rudisha speaks on quad muscle strain injury

Read < 1 minute

The injury-enforced absence of David Rudisha has left the door open for the men’s 800 metre title at the World Athletics Championships and half a dozen contenders, led by Nijel Amos.

Kenya’s Rudisha has missed out on what would have been a homecoming event for him. In 2012 he broke the 800 metre world record in his Olympics win in London.

David Rudisha spoke to CGTN’S Saddique Shaban on his injury and disappointment.
