Read < 1 minute

In Kenya, former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has added his voice to calls for peace during the upcoming Kenyan elections.

This comes after the killing of a top electoral commission official.

Mahama is part of a 15-man Commonwealth observer mission – comprised of eminent individuals from Asia, Europe and the Caribbean. They were invited by the Kenya’s electoral commission to assess its organization and conduct during the polls.

Mahama says the upcoming vote is of huge significance to Kenyans and the East Africa region.
