China’s first dog cloned by gene editing was two months old on Friday, and the physical index shows that he is in good shape.

Longlong was born to a surrogate mother on May 26. He looks and acts like any other puppy, and is genetically identical to another dog, two-year-old Apple.

Like Longlong, Apple was born in a laboratory.
