
South Sudan: Boy left for dead re-unites with family after 3 years in battle
It has been more than three agonizing years since 14 year old South Sudanese boy James saw his family.
James was one of about 18,000 young boys abducted and sent to the frontline in the conflict that has ravaged South Sudan.
For eight months, the boy who had never held a gun before fought alongside other children, many younger than him.
He saw plenty of them die.
While on the battlefront, James was left for dead on the battlefield after suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
Back home, news reached his mother that her son had succumbed to injury.
