The African Union executive council has elected two new Commissioner for economic affairs and human resource and science and technology Commissions.

It was the candidate from Madagascar’s and Cameroon’s candidates who worn the top AUC jobs.

Madagascar’s Victor Harison was elected as the new commissioner for Economic Affairs. He was competing against Yacin Elmi Bouh of Djibouti, Newaye Christos Gebre-ab of Ethiopia and Marthe Chantal Ndjepang Mbajon of Cameroon.

Cameroon’s Sarah Anyang Agbor was elected commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology defeating Uganda’s Dr. John Patrick Kabayo.

This election had been postponed to this 29th Summit as the candidates during the January summit failed to get adequate votes.
