Read < 1 minute

86% of the East African country’s refugees are children – this is according to world-governing body, The United Nations.

This statistic comes as the world marks Refugee Day that seeks to commemorate the strength, courage, and perseverance of millions of refugees across the globe. Refugee children in Uganda are in dire need of food, medical and social service intervention.

The ongoing refugee influx in Uganda has triggered a children crisis that humanitarian agencies say, will have a drastic economic and social effect to the country if it is left unaddressed.
