President Mugabe begins campaigning for 2018 elections

Zimbabwe’s president Robert Mugabe has embarked on a series of rallies across the country to win the support of the youth ahead of elections next year.

Mugabe, who has already won his party’s endorsement, will address similar gatherings in all ten provinces of the country. He is expected to address youth demands for access to capital, housing and jobs.

However, the ruling party, ZANU PF, continues to be dogged by internal strife over his possible successor. An issue the 93-year-old-leader has called for an end to.
