Nigeria’s Minister of Information on Wednesday assured Nigerians that there was no cause for alarm over President Buhari’s health.

Speaking to State House correspondents Alhaji Lai Mohammed said the president was in competent hands in London hence no cause for worry.

“On the issue of the President’s health, Mr. President is in very competent hands and there is no cause for alarm,” the minister said, the Vanguard quotes him say.

President Buhari left Abuja on May 7 for what his office said was a “follow-up medical consultation” in the British capital and has not been seen or heard from since.

His wife, Aisha, left Abuja to be with her husband on Tuesday. Aisha has previously played down rumours he was too ill to rule but said nothing on her departure from the capital on Tuesday
