The Confucius Institute and Chinese Embassy in Kenya hosted the country’s 16th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students on Friday.
Guests were treated to a colourful show of traditional Chinese song and dance before the annual contest got underway.
16 students battled it out for a ticket to represent Kenya at the world finals in China. Judges picked the winner based on a Chinese language presentation, general knowledge of China and a performance.
