South Africans are mourning the death of Ontlametse Phalatse
The 18-year-old girl was living with Progeria, a rare genetic disorder that causes rapid ageing.
Ontlametse died on Tuesday night at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Ga-Rankuwa‚ outside Pretoria.
Her family released a statement on her Facebook page, saying she passed away at the Doctor George Mukhari Hospital in Pretoria on Tuesday after experiencing breathing problems.
Phalatse last month met with President Jacob Zuma for her birthday at the president’s home in Pretoria as part of her bucket list of wishes
