
Cape Town Jazz Festival continues to woo local & international audience
Jazz music lovers are receiving a unique treat this weekend.
The Cape Town International Jazz Festival has kicked off with a mix of local and International performances.
This year’s edition features an artist line-up of over 40 musicians from across the globe and has attracted a slightly younger hip-hop and pop culture conscious crowned with the introduction of international acts such as Californian-born Cassandra Monique, better known as Andra Day, 32.
The 18th edition of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival kicked off in Cape Town on Wednesday, 29 March and will end on Sunday 2nd April.
Organisers of the festival have announced that several South African and international jazz performers and groups will be performing at the event.
Some of artistes are contemporary jazz super group Jazz Funk Soul with Everette Harp, Jeff Lorber & Paul Jackson Jr (USA), a line-up uniting three of the world’s most admired fusion players: saxophonist Everette Harp, keyboardist Jeff Lorber and world-renown guitarist Paul Jackson Jr.
