Tanzanians on Twitter hilariously mock President Magufuli for sentiments on press freedom
Tanzanians on Twitter have been mocking their president following remarks he made last week, warning the media not to exaggerate coverage, saying journalists “thought they had freedom”.
While President John Magufuli has been popular for his stance against corruption in the East African country, critics have blasted his government’s attitude towards freedom of the press and freedom of speech.
Tanzanians have been using the hash-tag #ReportersUnderMagufuliEra to give their thoughts on how Magufuli’s government would want journalists to report.
