
Sino-Egyptian Relations Forum opens in Cairo
The Sino-Egyptian Relations Forum has opened in the Egyptian capital Cairo, aiming to promote cultures of both countries.
The two-day event has attracted top officials from both China and Egypt.
The Forum also acts as a platform for both Egyptians and Chinese to learn from each other.
It was organized by the Cairo Chinese Culture Center and the Egyptian Supreme Culture Council.
China and Egypt have had years of strong bilateral relations.
In 2015, the volume of trade between China and Egypt increased by over 10 percent, and China has continuously been Egypt’s largest trade partner in recent years.
China is also the largest investor in the development of Egypt’s Suez Canal Corridor, a mega project showcasing the win-win partnership between the two countries.
