Three dead, millions lost as fire burns down market in Mogadishu

Three people have been killed and millions of property lost in a fire that burnt part of the biggest open air market in Mogadishu, Somalia

According to the report by Radio Dalsan, medical officials confirmed the number of the dead. Traders said that they suffered a loss of goods worth millions.

Firefighters and police battled for hours with the fire that was spreading across the Bakara market and residential areas.

The fire which broke out early morning is said to be a second case at the bakara market in a period of one month.

There has been no mentioned of people injured.
