Kenya holds its first edition of the NBO Festival

Kenya has held its first edition of the NBO Festival. The festival which aims at growing the cinema-going audience in the country opened Thursday with headline film, Kati Kati which looks at what happens in the afterlife.

Despite this being director Mbithi Masya’s first feature film, “Kati Kati” has won him much praise including the FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) prize for the Discovery Programme at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival 2016.
