Uganda’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has secured funding for researchers and innovators from the government, reports the Daily Monitor.
The funds will be given to researchers and innovators to develop their ideas into national projects to encourage home grown technology and innovations so as to provide local solutions to local problems.
Science and technology is key in moving Uganda to attain its goal of achieving middle income status by 2020.
