Tunisian gov’t say foreign elements involved in assassination of Hamas commander

Read < 1 minute

Authorities in Tunis have said initial reports point to the involvement of foreign entities in the assassination of a Tunisian national with close ties to Hamas.

Mohammed Zawari was shot multiple times outside his house in the town of El Ain, located to the southeast of the capital. Zawari was believed to be a drone expert affiliated to the Hamas militant group. So far, ten Tunisians have been detained but two foreigners, who’ve been suspected of involvement, have fled.

Hamas has blamed Israel for the killing but has provided no evidence to support this claim.
