Owners of Kuga model open a classic case in South Africa

Motor vehicle manufacturer Ford is facing a class action lawsuit from more than 20 owners of its Kuga model across South Africa.

The car model owners include the family of a man who died in one of the SUV’s after it allegedly “spontaneously combusted”.

Other Kuga model owners have also reported near death experiences with the cars which their claim are faulty. On its part Ford says its looking into the incidents and will move quick should investigations reveal any faults.

A Cape Town court  is also set to begin hearing of the latest case, in which a woman claims her 2014 model burst into flames while she drove to work last month.
