Kenya introduces digital learning tools to school going children
The Kenyan government plans to have equipped every school going child in the early stages of primary school with a tablet before the second quarter of next year.
The programme, in Kenya known as Digi school, is the government’s initiative to increase digital literacy among school going children. Such a programme has been successfully rolled out in Rwanda and Kenya becomes the second east African country to embrace it.
The bulk of these tablets are being assembled locally, bringing with it a myriad opportunities.
