Ghana elects the youngest member of parliamentarian in history

23 year old Ghanaian law student Francisca Oteng Mensah won a parliamentary seat in the on-going presidential and parliamentary elections in Ghana.

Francisca won by a landslide with over 70,000 votes with the closest competitor following with 15,000 votes.

She defeated the incumbent MP Kofi Frempong who had been in parliament since 2004 during the party primaries.

Francisca will be the first university undergraduate and youngest person to enter parliament when it resumes for its next session in 2017.

The young Law student of the Kwame Nkrumah University won the seat in Kwabre East constituency in the Ashanti Region.
