Uganda gov’t to reduce imports on selected car models to boost sales

Uganda has reduced the tax charged on selected cars imported into the country.

It is hoping to boost the struggling automotive industry. Dealers say car sales have fallen sharply since the beginning of the year. They are blaming low purchasing power, an unstable dollar and high taxes.
