Read < 1 minute

A rare air show took place in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.

Plane lovers gathered at the Nairobi national park to at least capture the moments in their phones. About a dozen planes from 1920’s and 1930’s are flying from Greece’s Crete Island to South Africa’s Cape Town. And Kenya is part of the rally’s leg. The international pilots attempt to cross ten countries. The event commemorate the early days of travel. It’s also raising money for wildlife and other charity projects.  It started on the twelfth of November.

The event is raising money for wildlife and other charity projects as crews attempt to cross 10 countries.

Adam Maritz, who flew a non-vintage support plane, said he hopes the show will influence young people “to go into aviation and to start exploring.”

The planes have since left Kenya, and are on their way to Tanzania.
