At least 10 people have been killed in a road accident in eastern Guinea, witnesses and a security source said Saturday.

A truck transporting cement rolled onto its side while making a sharp turn near the city of Kouroussa.

At least 10 of the 15 people travelling in the vehicle were killed, the sources said.

Five others were wounded in the accident.

Road accidents are often fatal in the West African nation, where many roads and vehicles are in poor condition.
