The Tanzanian man that was denied surgery at a hospital in the country for being too tall has received a major boost in his quest for treatment after a hospital in India offered to treat him.

Baraka Elias, 35, probably the tallest man in Tanzania, was told that he could not be treated at the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) because the facilities in the hospital could not handle someone of his height.

Baraka, standing at 7feet 4inch (2.20m), needed a hip replacement surgery after he fell and hurt himself.

According to hospital diagnosis, in addition to fractures, he has a dislocated pelvis, an injury that demands a surgical procedure.

Speedy Recovery International Healthcare Services in India is however ready to help him.

Patients recovering from hip replacement surgery need to lie flat on their backs after the operation to keep their hip in the correct position.
